Former Israeli military chief Gadi Eisenkot launched his Yashar party’s election campaign on Tuesday with a broad attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, accusing it of deepening divisions, refusing to take responsibility for its failures and pledging, if elected, to establish a state commission of inquiry into the failures leading up to Hamas’ attack on October 7, 2023.
