Speaking from his hospital bed at Beilinson Hospital, Netanel Jacobs said he punched and pushed the terrorist during a fierce struggle that continued even after the attacker’s knife broke.

“I fought him, punched him and pushed him,” Jacobs recalled. “We were both lying on the ground. I tried to pick up a rock to throw at his head, but I couldn’t reach it.”

Jacobs said the terrorist continued trying to stab him using the broken blade. The teen hero managed to choke the attacker, who then fled toward his vehicle.

Still unaware of the extent of his injuries, Jacobs chased after him with a rock before looking down and realizing he was covered in blood, with stab wounds to his head, neck, and hand.

His parents said their son is now in good and stable condition. They called his survival a miracle and said his extraordinary courage prevented what could have been a far more tragic outcome.

Israeli forces later tracked down the terrorist. When he tried to stab soldiers, troops opened fire and eliminated him.
