Can the Mormon Wives of Orange County give the brand a reality-show do-over? The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives franchise is multiplying and replenishing Hulu with a new spinoff show: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County. All ten episodes premiere on November 12 on Hulu/Hulu on Disney+ and will feature a brand-new cast and one OG MomToker to connect the two worlds: Jen Affleck. The newest members of MomTok include influencers Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Bobbi Althoff, and Salomé Andrea and lesser known moms Ashleigh Pease, Madison Bontempo, McCall DaPron, and Jordan McClanahan. McClanahan is seemingly replacing Chandler Higginson in the latest announcement. Higginson’s posted on Instagram Stories with Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero,” possibly alluding to the fact that she’s the first cast member off the show, making her “Patient Zero” to drama with Hulu.
As with the Real Housewives: Just because they’re from the same franchise doesn’t mean we’ll get the same show. Many of the women say in unison that they can’t live without their husband and their kids, a standard SLOMW trait. But these women are night owls who love Instagram; maybe their version of MomTok is Momstagram. The most anticipated story line this season involved Aspyn Ovard and her throuple romance with a married couple, Bri and Billy Davis. Finally! Some sexy story lines that don’t involve swinging or Fruity Pebbles.
