Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, delivered a blistering rebuke of Tehran before the UN General Assembly, warning Iran’s ruling regime that its campaign of terrorism, military aggression, and brutal domestic repression could ultimately bring about its own collapse.
Danon accused the Islamic Republic of racing to rebuild its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, bankrolling Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations, violently suppressing its own population, and threatening international commerce through its activities in the Strait of Hormuz.
“The world knows Iran’s recipe for terror: rebuild nuclear and missile programs, fund Hezbollah, murder their own people, and hold global shipping hostage. Iran is back in the kitchen, and the world is on the menu.”
But the Israeli ambassador saved his sharpest warning for the regime’s leadership, delivering a message that left little doubt about how Israel views Tehran’s future.
“Your arrogance will bring you down. The ground beneath your feet is boiling.”
Then, turning directly to the Iranian people, Danon struck a dramatically different tone, expressing hope that the population would eventually break free from the regime’s grip.
“Your moment is approaching. Soon, you will be able to determine your own future.”
Danon’s remarks drew a stark distinction between Iran’s rulers and its citizens, portraying the Islamic Republic as a danger to regional stability, global security, and the very people it claims to represent.
The message from Israel’s ambassador was unmistakable: Tehran may believe it can intimidate the world, but its greatest threat could ultimately come from within.
