Golan Open To Chareidi Partnership, Demands Military Enlistment And Shabbos Transportation In Secular Municipalities – The Yeshiva World

Democrats leader Yair Golan signaled Saturday that he is open to a coalition partnership with the Chareidi parties, but insisted it must bring military enlistment, expanded employment and changes to education. He said his bloc must make every effort to replace Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government.

Golan also demanded respect for secular communities’ way of life, including public transportation on Shabbos in their municipalities. The conditions underline the difficulty of building an Eisenkot coalition with Chareidi support, even as opposition leaders explore alternatives to relying on Arab parties.
