So far, Europe has tried hard to stay out of the war that is currently reshaping the entire Middle East. Confronted with the U.S. and Israeli decisions to strike Iran – reportedly without being informed in advance or, in some cases, only moments before the attack – European leaders reacted with caution and a certain wait-and-see approach.
