British pop icon Boy George brought his message of love, solidarity and peace to one of Judaism’s holiest sites on Monday, visiting Jerusalem’s Western Wall alongside philanthropist Sylvan Adams, President of the World Jewish Congress Israel.
The legendary singer placed a personal prayer note between the ancient stones of the Kotel, reflecting on his late parents, loved ones and the emotional significance of standing at a site sacred to generations of Jews.
“Standing here at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, I’m thinking of my mum, who would have loved to be here, my dad, and all the people I hold close to my heart. Some places make you feel the presence of those you love, wherever they may be. This is one of them. A moment of gratitude, reflection, love and prayer. May we all find peace.”
Adams praised the singer for choosing solidarity over the cultural boycott campaign targeting Israel.
“The haters want to isolate Israel. They pressure artists to boycott us and turn their backs on our people. George chose to come, perform for his Israeli fans and support the Nova survivors and bereaved families. He has shown courage and real friendship.”

The visit comes ahead of two major Israeli performances. Boy George will take the stage at Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena on November 4 alongside Israeli superstar Ivri Lider.
On November 7, he will headline a special event honoring the Nova Festival community, including survivors and families who lost loved ones in the October 7 massacre, with DJ Ofer Nissim joining the performance.
Before the concerts, the singer is scheduled to visit the Nova Festival memorial site in Re’im on November 3.

His trip, arranged at Adams’ invitation in cooperation with Live Nation Israel and Israel’s Foreign Ministry, carries a message extending far beyond music.
While boycott activists push entertainers to turn their backs on Israel, Boy George is choosing to show up, stand alongside Israelis and let his music speak louder than the calls for isolation.
