Over the weekend, Ellie Goulding gave birth to her second baby. She announced the news on her Instagram Stories on Monday, writing, “On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. We are totally obsessed with her,” over a photo of the baby wearing a cream knit sweater and beanie.
This is the British singer’s second child and her first with boyfriend Beau Minniear. Goulding shares Arthur, 4, with her ex-husband Caspar Jopling. She revealed her second pregnancy back in December.
In Monday’s announcement, Goulding made sure to mention that she welcomed her daughter two days before International Women’s Day, adding, “It was fitting that I spent International Women’s Day with her and the incredible female team at St Mary’s, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness. I will always be in awe of midwives.” She also posted a black-and-white photo of a “welcome baby sister” cake, and two pictures of bouquets. “This addition to my family fills me with so much joy, especially as Arthur is so so happy to become a big brother to this little angel,” she concluded.
Now, what did you do to celebrate International Women’s Day? I bet you can’t top that.
