Florida Renames Major Highway After Trump in Latest DeSantis Move • Jewish Breaking News

In another major show of recognition, Florida has officially renamed one of its longest highways after President Donald Trump. Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation today designating State Road 80, a nearly coast to coast highway stretching approximately 120+ miles from Palm Beach County to Lee County, as the “President Donald J. Trump Highway.”

State officials say signage will be installed along the entire road, formally marking the highway with Trump’s name once the law takes effect on July 1. This expands on earlier efforts that had already renamed smaller portions of the roadway near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach.

The renaming is part of a bigger legislative package that includes multiple transportation related changes across the state, in an effort to commemorate notable figures throughout the state.

With both a major airport and now a long highway bearing his name, Trump’s imprint on Florida’s landscape continues to grow, turning the state into one of the most important hubs of his legacy in the United States.
