FLOWERS FROM MOSSAD: The Delivery No Iranian Nuclear Scientist Wanted

In a Times of London podcast Friday, former Mossad head Yossi Cohen said that his organization scared nuclear scientists into leaving their jobs.

“People have left their positions in defense organizations in Tehran because we told them, ‘We know you,’” he said. “We’ve sent them flowers to their houses and to their families, saying, ‘Hello, okay. We know that you work for the nukes, and you may be next. So better for you to leave what you’re doing right now.’ And partly they’ve left. So ethos is important, but it is not because of the revenge part of it, but it is because of what we need to do in order to prevent the bad guys from harming not only the State of Israel and the Jewish communities around the world, but British too.”

The former spy chief also insisted that the government of the U.K., instead of only thanking him privately for helping to thwart terrorist attacks in Britain, should also publicly thank Israel. He sharply criticized the government for distancing itself from Israel and for considering sanctions against the Jewish state under its new premier, Andy Burnham.
