MELBOURNE – There were many unexpected similarities that acclaimed Australian painter Michael Zavros found in common with his portrait subject, Alex Ryvchin, co-CEO of the umbrella group Executive Council of Australian Jewry. The pair share olive skin, cropped salt-and-pepper hair and sharply defined features. Both are the fathers of three children.
