Tech mogul Elon Musk took fresh aim at his former boss on Monday by accusing the Trump administration of failing to deliver on promises related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
Posting on his social platform X, Musk shared an image labeled “The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter,” which displayed a count of “0000.” His caption read, “What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again …”

Musk’s criticism followed a Justice Department and FBI memo released yesterday that found no evidence Epstein blackmailed powerful figures or kept a “client list,” despite years of speculation and conspiracy theories. The memo also stated there is no evidence to suggest Epstein was murdered, reaffirming the medical examiner’s finding that he died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019.

Prior to being elected Trump promised to release all the files and documentation related to the Epstein case. In February, Attorney General Pam Bondi released what she termed “Phase 1” of the files, but the document dump was widely criticized for containing mostly information already in the public domain.
It’s not the first time Musk has linked the president to Epstein, alleging without evidence in June social media post, “[Trump] is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” and adding, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
Trump immediately pushed back, denying any connection to the Epstein case and writing, “I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island. Strong Laws ought to be developed against A.I. It will be a big and very dangerous problem in the future!”
The bromance between the two began to unravel over Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, when Musk called the 1,000-page package a “disgusting abomination” and accused it of undermining the cost-cutting work his Department of Government Efficiency had accomplished. Despite estimates that the national debt would increase by $3.8 trillion over ten years, Trump’s tax bill passed both chambers of Congress last week, prompting Musk to announce plans to launch a new political party dubbed the “America Party,” which quickly drew the president’s ire.
“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks. He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States – The System seems not designed for them,” Trump wrote Sunday on Truth Social.
“The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds!”
