Looks like we’ve got another nepo baby following in her famous mother’s footsteps. Kai Schreiber, the daughter of actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, nabbed a coveted modeling job, starring in Valentino’s pre-fall campaign. The proud 16-year-old, who is currently signed to IMG Models, posted a carousel of photos from the shoot on Instagram, writing, “I am endlessly grateful for this campaign and everyone on the team ILY ALLLL🎀💋💗💕.” And like any supportive parent, Watts posted her own set of proud photos.
“Congratulations @kaischreiberrr — so exciting!! ❤️,” she wrote Thursday before thanking Valentino’s creative director. “@alessandro_michele your vision is spectacularly poetic 💥 Beaming with pride 😃 🙌.”
In the photos, Kai is gazing quizzically at a Rubik’s Cube (did she solve it?), holding an ice-cream cone while staring off into the distance, and seemingly busting out some ballet moves with the soft serve still in hand — all with a blue satin bow tied around her waist. Per “Page Six,” Sophie Thatcher and Lorenzo Zurzolo were also on set as part of the ice-cream-meets-puzzle-toy concept, alongside some of Kai’s fellow celeb offspring: Lisa Rinna’s daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin and Jack White’s daughter, Scarlett White.
The campaign comes one month after Kai made her runway debut, walking in Valentino’s Paris Fashion Week show. Her father defended her from nepo-baby accusations, telling the outlet, “I don’t really have any thoughts for the haters. That’s her life. She does what she wants with her life, and I’m super-proud of her.” He also thought she did an “amazing job in the show.”
To top it all off, Watts wrote on Instagram that she thinks Kai’s modeling career is shaping up to be “pure poetry.” Take that, haters.
