President Donald J Trump has weighed in forcefully on the fatal ICE involved shooting in Minneapolis after reviewing video of the incident, directly contradicting the narrative pushed by city and state leadership and sharply criticizing what he described as escalating attacks on law enforcement by the Radical Left.

“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch,” Trump said in a statement. “The woman screaming was obviously a professional agitator and the woman driving the car was very disorderly obstructing and resisting who then violently willfully and viciously ran over the ICE officer who seems to have shot her in self defense.”
The woman who was shot has been identified as a 37 year old white woman described by authorities as an ICE observer. Trump noted that based on the video it is difficult to believe the agent survived the encounter.
“Based on the attached clip it is hard to believe he is alive but he is now recovering in the hospital,” Trump said. “The situation is being studied in its entirety.”
Despite the investigation still being in its early stages Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey immediately launched a public attack on ICE telling agents to “get the f*** out of Minneapolis” and dismissing their self defense claim as “bullsh*t.” Frey accused ICE of sowing chaos and distrust and claimed the agency was responsible for killing people in the city.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz echoed those remarks saying he had seen the video and urging the public not to believe what he called a propaganda machine while promising a full and expeditious investigation.
As news of the shooting spread a large and volatile crowd gathered in protest. Law enforcement deployed pepper spray to restore order and during the unrest an American flag was burned.
However critics argue that both Frey and Walz rushed to judgment before the facts were established and before investigators completed their review of the evidence. Video circulating online appears to show the woman being ordered to exit her vehicle indicating she was not free to leave. Moments later she appears to accelerate toward an ICE agent striking him with the car in what investigators believe was an attempted ramming.
Law enforcement experts point to a key physical detail that they say bolsters the self defense claim. The bullet hole is visible in the front windshield rather than the side of the vehicle which they say is consistent with a head on attack using a vehicle as a deadly weapon.
President Trump placed responsibility for the broader climate squarely on the Radical Left.
“The reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening assaulting and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis,” Trump said. “They are just trying to do the job of making America safe. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left movement of violence and hate.”
As the investigation continues the incident has ignited a national political firestorm with growing scrutiny over whether Minneapolis and Minnesota leadership prematurely condemned federal agents while video evidence appears to support a claim of self defense.
