Is everybody feeling peachy keen? Because the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is starting up and it’s about to get juicy. The trailer for the upcoming 17th season of the reality series introduces two new housewives. There’s Pinky Cole, founder and CEO of the brand Slutty Vegan, who refers to herself as “one of the most powerful entrepreneurs in America.” Then there’s K. Michelle, the recording artist who began her career on Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta and released the popular record Rebellious Soul, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. These days, she’s gone country and is the only Black woman on her label.
The returning housewives are Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley, and Kelli Ferrell, alongside Cynthia Bailey as a “friend of.” The best quote in the trailer inevitably goes back to Porsha, with Kelli claiming she has “fucked every Nigerian in Atlanta.” Now that’s poetry. The only person cut from last time is one-season wonder Brit Eady, who our reviewer last year said has a fighting style “better suited to a lower-caliber reality-television show.” The new season of RHOA premieres April 5 at 8 p.m. Come take a bite of this peach.
