Russia Arrests Minor Over Suspected Terror Threat At Moscow Park – The Yeshiva World

Russia’s Federal Security Service said it arrested a minor suspected of threatening a terrorist attack in Moscow after receiving intelligence from the United States.

The FSB said American authorities passed along a warning Saturday through established intelligence-sharing channels about preparations for an attack in the Russian capital.

In an unusual public acknowledgment of cooperation with Washington, the Russian security service expressed gratitude for the information.

“We are grateful to the American side for sharing the information,” the FSB said in a statement.

According to Russian authorities, the suspect posted photographs on TikTok showing himself wearing tactical clothing and a balaclava while holding an object resembling an automatic weapon.

He also allegedly uploaded photographs taken at the Tsaritsyno museum and park complex in southern Moscow, accompanied by the caption: “I found a place.”

Following the warning, the park and palace grounds were temporarily closed to visitors Saturday.

Authorities said a search of the suspect’s home uncovered the clothing and accessories visible in his social media posts. The account did not establish whether the object shown in the photographs was a functioning firearm.

Investigators also examined his cellphone and allegedly found that he subscribed to a neo-Nazi channel on Telegram.

His browsing history contained numerous searches related to terrorist attacks, mass killings and other acts of violence, according to the FSB.

The suspect’s name and exact age were not disclosed in the account. The allegations against him remain under investigation.
