Congratulations are in order for Saoirse Ronan and her husband, Jack Lowden, who are expecting their first child together, People reports. Rumors about Ronan’s pregnancy first swirled after her appearance at Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026 show in Avignon, France, on May 22. She was then photographed with her baby bump on June 1 while out on a walk in London with Lowden and their dog. Slainté!
The pair met while working on the 2018 movie Mary Queen of Scots, where Ronan played Mary and Lowden played her second husband, Henry Stuart. Lowden sparked engagement rumors back in July 2023 when he posted a photo on Instagram of Ronan’s left hand wearing a diamond ring. The couple got married in a low-key ceremony in Edinburgh this past July — Lowden is Scottish, and Ronan has called the country “a second home.”
In an interview with i newspaper in 2023, Lowden said his wife “is a force of nature, on- and off-screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well.” Adorable. If the couple is open to name suggestions, I’d like to throw Lady Bird into the ring. Just a thought!
