$50,000 florals for a wedding? Groundbreaking. Sydney Sweeney didn’t make the cut for the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada sequel. The Euphoria actress did film a scene for the movie, but according to Entertainment Weekly, the bit was cut due to a “creative decision.” It was supposed to be towards the beginning of the movie, as we are reintroduced to Emily (Emily Blunt), who now runs Dior’s United States operation, styling a celebrity client, Sweeney (playing herself). The three-minute scene reportedly “did not work structurally with the rest of the sequence” and ended up getting cut from the final film. Sweeney was spotted on set last summer with Blunt, shortly after her American Eagle “great jeans” controversy. At least we still have Euphoria to see Sweeney crash out over some florals and at the bare minimum, wear a chic dress during her wedding to Nate.
Thankfully, more celebrity cameos are on the way for Andy Sacks and co. Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace, Naomi Campbell, and the Giggly Squad (Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo) are confirmed to make an appearance, whether as themselves or as chic party guests sipping on some bubbly.
