Vice President JD Vance told the New York Post that the U.S.-Iran conflict could enter a “much different phase in a couple of months,” agreeing with President Trump that the war could conclude “right after” the midterm elections. He said Strait of Hormuz traffic has recovered to “well over 50%” of normal levels.
Vance said the first phase targeting Iran’s nuclear program, military and ability to project power is over, while the second is preventing Iran from rebuilding those capabilities and maintaining global stability.
