Sagui Dekel Chen, a 35-year-old Israeli farmer from Kibbutz Nir Oz, has reclaimed his freedom—and now, he’s tearing down the very posters that once pleaded for his return.
On October 7, Hamas terrorists stormed his kibbutz near the Gaza border, murdering over a quarter of its residents and abducting dozens. Sagui was among those taken, while his father, Jonatan Dekel Chen, an American-Israeli professor, fought tirelessly for his release.

After more than 50 days in captivity, Sagui was freed. In an emotional moment, he removes his own hostage posters—a symbol of survival, strength, and victory.
