President Donald Trump says the United States has “total control” around the Strait of Hormuz as he ramps up pressure on Iran to reach a deal with Washington.
Trump painted a dire picture of Iran’s economic situation, claiming the country has “no money,” is struggling to pay its soldiers and police, and is facing inflation of 350%.
“They would love to make a deal, but they’re not ready to make the right deal in my opinion,” Trump said, signaling that Washington is prepared to wait and see what Tehran does next.
