Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg ordered Likud on Friday to remove campaign posters targeting Gadi Eisenkot by 3:30 p.m., ahead of Shabbos, ruling that they could mislead voters just days before Israel’s elections.
The Arabic-language posters featured Eisenkot alongside Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman, Yair Golan, and Arab politicians Ahmad Tibi and Mansour Abbas. Eisenkot’s Yashar party petitioned against the ads, arguing that their design resembled its own campaign materials and failed to clearly identify Likud as the advertiser.
