A Channel 13 poll published on Tuesday evening, some 14 weeks before Israel’s October 27 election, forecasts that the bloc of Jewish opposition parties has weakened by one seat, after winning 61 seats in last week’s poll. The coalition parties also lose a seat, dropping to 49, while the Arab parties rise to 11 seats, two more than in the previous poll.
Likud drops by one seat to 21 seats, tied with Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party, which holds steady. The Beyahad party, led by Naftali Bennett, weakens by one seat to 14 seats.
The Democrats, whose slate was chosen on Monday in primary elections, holds steady at 11 seats, while Yisrael Beiteinu remains unchanged at 10 seats. United Torah Judaism also holds steady with eight seats. The other ultra-Orthodox party, Shas, wins eight seats, gaining one compared to last week. Otzma Yehudit receives seven seats, the same as in the previous poll. Hadash-Ta’al and Ra’am each gain a seat, winning six and five seats respectively.
Religious Zionism weakens by one seat to five seats. The Bayit Zioni party, led by Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper, holds steady with four seats. Balad (1.9 percent), Blue and White (1 percent) and Makom LeKoolanu (0.5 percent) fail to pass the electoral threshold, as in recent polls.
The poll was conducted by The Madad (Shmuel Rosner and Noah Slepkov) in cooperation with the Midgam Project (Dr. Ariel Ayalon), Askararia (Dudi Dror) and Statnet (Youssef Makladeh). The poll surveyed 988 respondents, with a maximum sampling error of 3.5 percent.
