Every new baby brings changes to a family – but for one family of new olim, their newborn’s arrival has turned their world upside down.
Their baby boy was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida, the most severe form of the condition. His spinal cord did not form correctly, leaving him with serious physical challenges that require round-the-clock care. He needs a catheter four times a day, daily hospital visits, and intensive physical therapy – all at a cost the family cannot sustain.

The baby’s mother has been unable to return to work since his birth, and the family’s income has completely stopped. What was once a hopeful new life in Israel has become a daily struggle to survive.
“We’re a family of five,” his mother explains. “We can’t keep up with the cost of therapy, rent, and even food. But we can’t stop fighting for him – for the hope that one day he’ll take his first steps.”

Despite their desperate financial situation, the parents refuse to give up the treatment that could allow their son to walk one day. But without outside help, continuing his therapy is simply impossible.
