Spain Hosts Mass Anti Israel Rally in Barcelona as Marwan Barghouti’s Son Takes Center Stage • Jewish Breaking News

A large scale event titled Solidarity with Palestine was held at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, drawing thousands of attendees. Many in the audience openly questioned the legitimacy of the State of Israel and participated in chants calling for its dismantling.

Throughout the evening, giant screens displayed maps showing the Land of Israel labeled as Palestine, while Israelis were described as “temporary occupiers.” The crowd repeatedly applauded chants of “Free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea.” Video segments presented during the program portrayed Israel as solely responsible for the suffering of the past two years, with no mention of Hamas or other terror organizations.

The event featured appearances by well known figures from the worlds of music and sports. Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola also addressed the audience while wearing a keffiyeh. Speaking from the stage, Guardiola said, “I stand with Palestine. There are children who are left alone. We are not helping them.”

Another moment that drew thunderous applause came when the son of Marwan Barghouti, a convicted terrorist serving multiple life sentences in Israel, took the stage and publicly called for his father’s release from Israeli prison.

Several performances and speeches throughout the night included explicit calls for additional protests and pressure campaigns against Israel.

In the aftermath of the rally, members of the Jewish community in Barcelona warned of a sharp rise in antisemitism and hostility toward Israelis. Community representatives said municipal leaders are not only ignoring the problem but are actively worsening it by offering what they described as one sided support to those promoting hatred against Israel.
