Ynet reports Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided not to bring senior IDF brass to Washington to avoid the appearance that Israel and the U.S. are operationally coordinating a potential strike on Iran, with the trip focused on shaping the diplomatic track instead.
He’s traveling with a notably slim team, including Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman and acting National Security Council head Gil Reich, while the White House is keeping the meeting format tightly controlled.

Initial discussions reportedly included adding Brig. Gen. Omer Tishler, the incoming Israeli Air Force chief and a key liaison with the U.S. military, but that idea was shelved over concerns it would look like war-prep.
All of it lands as Washington and Tehran move through renewed talks under a visible U.S. military buildup, and as Israel pushes for any deal to cover not just the nuclear file, but also Iran’s ballistic missiles and support for Iran-backed terror proxies.
