WONDER WOMAN COMES HOME! Gal Gadot Talks Antisemitism, Moving Back to Israel • Jewish Breaking News

Israeli “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot returned to Israel to vote in Tuesday’s election and also to appear in a sketch on Eretz Nehederet, a satirical Israeli TV show.

In the skit, Gadot sat in a taxi and talked to the driver about coming back to vote. She said that after living in the United States for 12 years, she and her family will be moving back to Israel to a house that is currently being built because of the rise in antisemitism.

“It’s hard these days to be an Israeli abroad,” she said, adding that she often wore a COVID-style mask to avoid the intense anti-Zionist heckling that would otherwise follow her around.

“There’s a lot of hate. I try to explain to them that what you see from there isn’t what we see from here. And what we see here, you don’t see there,” she said.

The actress also shared a video of herself voting.

“I’m exercising my right to vote, and I ask all of you to go out and exercise your most basic, most important, the most democratic right, and to vote for who you believe in,” she said in the video.

Although she had previously said she was voting for an opposition party, she did not disclose which one.

The day before the election, Gadot received an honorary doctorate from Bar-Ilan University.

“I believe in our ability to build a better future here, a future with security, with hope, and with willingness to listen to one another and work together,” she said in her acceptance speech.
